Hi, I’m Joanne O’Brien, a travel advisor specializing in hosted cruises, special-interest groups and custom travel experiences.
I help creators, clubs, organizations, families and communities bring people together through thoughtfully planned travel. From river cruises and ocean voyages to land-based programs, I coordinate the details so group leaders can focus on their guests and travellers can enjoy the experience.
I have helped organize groups ranging from approximately 30 to 175 travellers, with a particular focus on communities built around shared interests.
My background in crafts led me to discover how naturally hobbies and travel come together. A knitting cruise, quilting retreat or creative journey offers more than a vacation—it gives people the chance to learn, connect and build lasting friendships while exploring somewhere new.

Before entering the travel industry, I worked in social work and sales. That background helps me listen carefully, understand different needs and manage the many details involved in bringing a group together.
